Playa Studios Wedding - Wine Pairing Menu
We have a core belief that drives our company forward. "It's All About The Relationship". That belief is evident in the wedding of Ian and Sandy, with Marni Farmer of So Smitten Events. Marni is an incredible wedding designer and planner who has her pulse on the world of weddings in Southern California. Event Producer, Pam Aki has built a long standing relationship with Marni, resulting in some stunning and modern weddings. Their most recent partnership was for the wedding of Ian and Sandy, held at Culver City's newest venue called Playa Studios. By day it's a recording studio, and by night it's a creative event venue. The owners have designed a space filled with modern art, contemporary design accents, and visually vibrant details.In addition to thinking outside of the box with their venue, this delightful couple challenged us to create a contemporary wedding menu. Ian and Sandy are self proclaimed foodies who wanted a wine paring menu. Pam designed a sophisticated Five Course Wine Pairing Dinner that allowed them to share their favorite wines with their guests. Many of our couples are embracing the "petit portions" trend in food. We're very excited to spread our wings and bring new ideas into our cuisine. Pam worked very hard to put together something truly inspired and on trend. The menu included:Tray Passed: Coconut and Beer Battered Shrimp with Tangerine Mustard Dip; Pancetta Wrapped Dates stuffed with Aged Manchego Cheese and Fresh Mint; Mini Caprese Skewers with Cherry Tomato, Fresh Basil and Mozzarella drizzled with Virgin Olive Oil, Aged Balsamic and Cracked Black Pepper; Thin Sliced Filet Mignon, Smoked Provolone and Arugula on toasted Baguette with Creamed Horseradish and White Truffle Drizzle5 Course Dinner with Wine Service:Course 1 Wine - Coastal Vines Pinot NoirCreamy Roasted Tomato Bisque Soup garnished with Crème Fraiche, served with baskets of warm Artisan Herb RollsCourse 2 Wine - Coastal Vines Pinot NoirCalifornia Gourmet Greens topped with Mandarin Orange Segments, Sun Dried Cranberries, Caramelized Walnuts and Feta Crumble.
