Richard Nixon Library

One of the most iconic event venues in Orange County is far more than just a venue. The Richard Nixon President Library is located in Yorba Linda, which was the birthplace and final resting place of President Richard Nixon.  In addition to galleries dedicated to the life of Mr. Nixon and his family, you can find written and audio-visual material, as well as Mr. Nixon's helicopter, and some incredible interactive exhibits. There is a group of special people who work day in and day out at the museum as stewards. They are The Docent Guild and their purpose is to provide information to all visitors regarding permanent and temporary exhibits, garden tours, and educational programs. This amazing group of people host an annual Wine and Food Gala benefiting youth scholarships. The event is held in the beautiful East Room, and showcases International and California wines, live entertainment, a silent auction, and cuisine from local catering firms.We were proud to be a sponsor this year and we pulled out all the stops to create a dynamic display to showcase some of our favorite menu items and home-made desserts.Short Ribs are the most tender and flavorful roast you can possible imagine, and our chefs use tender loving care in preparing these delectable bites,served with our creamy Russet Mashed Potatoes, and drizzled with a Black Peppercorn Demi Glace.It's not a party until you've had a slice of our Million Dollar Candied Bacon. From the first bite, you'll realize that you're in trouble. Served up nice and crispy, each slice is infused with maple syrup, sea salt and finished with a bit of chili peppers to give you a spicy finish. You can't eat just one. It never fails when we serve it that people line up for more. We dare you to have just one slice.Our Blackened Cauliflower Bite is a fun and colorful treat that's also healthy. We serve it in a Mini Tortilla, and garnish it with an Avocado Tomatillo Sauce, Toasted Pepitas, and a Pickled Watermelon Relish. This Vegan goodie was flying off the platters and our staff had a chore trying to replenish them.You would think that with so many options to choose from there would be no room for dessert. But our home-made desserts were too tempting to pass up. They were displayed to be visually pleasing, but more importantly they were delicious and flew off of the display to our delight. They included Butterscotch Mousse Shots, Orange Dark Chocolate Mousse Shots, and Tiramisu Mousse Shots.Youth education is a cause we stand behind, and we couldn't be more pleased to support this amazing organization and their work. Our staff is always ready to step in to help with events like this. Catering Director Tyler Huff created an amazing menu, and Vice President of Sales and Events designed our display to perfection. Every staff member that worked this event put their heart and soul into it, and the payoff is evident in the photos. We're bursting with pride and hope that you enjoy this post.
