A Lobster Boil on The Sand at Bolsa Chica

Summertime means beach parties. And what's better fare for a beach party than shellfish? Our Sales Director Tyler Huff, recently produced the Bolsa Chica Conservancy Annual Barefoot Ball Gala. The event was complete with a lobster boil, steel drum players, a charity auction, and lots and lots of toes in the sand. A bold white tented structure, surrounded by wood plank fencing, marked the spot in the sand at Bolsa Chica Beach where the party would take place. Decor included lanterns filled with sand and sea shells, galvanized metal buckets filled with beach grasses, and an abundance of candles in clear glass containers. Linens were crisp and white with burlap table runners, that danced gracefully in the breeze. Galvanized metal bins were used to serve the seafood, sausages, and corn. Tyler knows how to take a theme, and push it over the top through food, decor and details.   • ย Traditional "South Shore Boil" served family style in a beach bucket, and consisting of Steamed Clams, Mussels, Kielbasa, Red Potatoes, Onions and Corn Cobbettes, with an array of special seasonings.
  • Whole Wild American Maine Lobsters, with warm drawn butter and lemon, served family style own elegant white platters.
  • Grilled Filet Mignon atop Potato Au Gratin with Gruyere, Garlic and Porcini Mushrooms
  • Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Julienne Vegetables and Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce

No seafood boil is complete without a bib. And we made sure each guest had one! A few guests actually needed more than one! We're quite proud of this event and give kudos to Tyler for his creativity and hard work. With all the details he had to juggle, he had a brief moment to take a picture.
