We are very pleased to announce we have selected Sal Jimenez as our SEPTEMBER 2017 EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!  Congratulations Sal!!  Once upon a time, back in 1992 to be exact, we called ourselves Hubba Hubba Cafe and Catering, don't laugh! That's when Sal began his career with us. He is one of our longest tenured employees and we are so grateful for his loyalty, his hard work, and the dedication he has given us over the years. He began working in the kitchen preparing our menus for our café and catering operation.  As we grew and  moved our operation to Fullerton, Sal came with us, working in the kitchen and warehouse.  Today, over twenty years later, Sal is our Warehouse Manager, but so much more than that.Sal represents the heartbeat of Summit Event Catering.  Giving us his best every day, he shows up on time, and with a great attitude no matter how hard the day may be. Catering is not an easy job, and some days can be very stressful. Regardless of that, he treats his fellow employees with respect and is always ready to help when needed. Sal is the first person to go beyond his regular tasks and will go the extra mile to do what it takes to get the job done. We take part in many community service projects, and Sal is always one of the first to sign up and donate his time selflessly.Sal is married to Irma and has 2 children, Valery 12 and Diego 11.  When he's not working, he loves staying involved with his kids by going to Diego’s Soccer games and Valery’s Dance productions.  We have heard first hand from Sal that Diego is quite the soccer player with several hat tricks under his belt. He's most proud that he's scored 3 goals in one game.Sal's and his family's favorite vacation is traveling to the mountains in the winter to enjoy the snow. They love the beauty of the outdoors and enjoying God’s creation. When we asked Sal to share his experience and advice to incoming employees. His sage advice was, “People sometimes work too fast and they sacrifice quality for quantity.  It’s more important to work carefully and do a good job and do it right.  Take responsibility for your work and be consistent every day.  And always stay organized......always”.  We couldn’t agree more…..thank you Sal and thank you for your loyalty, your hard work, your friendship, and for setting such a great we can all aspire to.
