The wedding industry is an ever evolving industry. It's continually growing and changing, and the professionals in that arena have to stay on top of the latest technology, sales tactics, and production practices to stay competitive. For that reason The Knot and Wedding Wire hosted a full day of education for wedding professionals in Southern California, called THE PRO EXPRERIENCE SO CAL. It takes a large event space to accommodate 250 attendees, and the space chosen was Crafted At The Port of Los Angeles. It's an impressive venue built in the 1940s. This lovingly restored warehouse features open truss ceilings, a state of the art sound system, and plenty of parking. We were honored to be chosen as the catering sponsor to keep the pros nourished as they learned about sales, branding, marketing, technology, and client communications. Attendees came from Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Palm Springs, and Santa Barbara, and included wedding planners, wedding vendors, venue managers and more.We were tasked with providing breakfast prior to the program, lunch during the break, and a hearty cocktail hour menu upon conclusion. This will the first part of a three part series and today we're featuring breakfast. Our menu was modern and diverse, and was displayed beautifully. Event Producer Pam Aki worked with event planner Marni Farmer from So Smitten Events, who designed and executed this complicated event to perfection. Pam created a very satisfying menu that had something for everyone, including offerings for those who are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free.Menu: Cereal Crusted and French Toast Sticks with Maple Syrup and Whipped Cream, Mini Blueberry Muffins and Mini Sweet Potato Banana Muffins, Deviled Eggs with Candied Jalapeno, Bird's Nest Bites, Avocado Toast on Sourdough Triangles with Avocado Smash, Queso Fresco, Sriracha, and Sliced Radish, A Yogurt Parfair Bar, Donut Hole Bar, a Gourmet Coffee Station, Infused Waters, and Fresh Juices.Breakfast was a huge success with guests coming back for seconds and thirds. We're so proud of the entire Summit Staff for taking great care with the preparation, display and service of the food. If you think breakfast was good, wait until you see our next post about lunch. Come back for Part 2 soon.Creative Partners: Planner/Designer: So Smitten Events | Venue: Crafted At The Port of Los Angeles | Event Branding + Stationery: Meldeen Inc. | Event + Headshot Photography + Videography: F/8 Studios | DJ + AV: Tempoe Entertainment | Florals: GingerSnap Florals | Rentals - Lounge Furniture: Adore Folklore | Rentals - Tabletops + Others: MTB Event Rentals | Rentals - Tables, Lunch Chairs, Backdrops, Stage + More: Del Rey Party Rentals | Linens: Nuage Designs | Desserts: Mr. & Mrs. Creamery | Bar Service: Sunseri's | Favors: Gourmet Wedding Gifts | Hair: Domenica Beauty  | Makeup: Diamond Beauty Hair and Makeup | Photo Booth: The Booth And Bus Company | Signature : B.Toffee | Swizzle Stick: Delovely Details | Accommodations: Doubletree San Pedro | Notebooks: Minted.com
