UPDATE: SERVE-SAFE

TOGETHER WE’LL WIN!

With more individuals getting back to work (as safely as possible), it allowed us to continue to expand our Serve Safe Corporate Meal Program to continue to serve our corporate partners who have recently re-opened their doors.

Summit’s goal with our mobile corporate meal program is to be there for every employee at every lunch. It provides delicious hot and cold menu options consistently, each week, in a micromanaged safe and sanitary environment. We strive to excel in our expertise so that companies can continue to focus on what they do best and continue to navigate life with and past the coronavirus.

The relationship we have with our clients goes beyond the plate. In today’s #SummitStory, we want to show you how our partnership has grown with the first company that partnered with us on our serve-safe journey.

Presenting A Serve Safe Update!

PREPARING ON-SITE – SERVE SAFE STYLE

What this company loves about our catering is that we prepare our food fresh on-site. So, you may wonder… what does that mean? In order to serve safe, some cold dishes and key items are prepared in our production kitchen. However, for the two hot entrée choices we served this day, our goal was to serve their meal piping hot and taste as fresh as possible.

How do we do that?

We bring our best cooking equipment to you, where our professional chefs prepare the food on-site in our health department approved pop-up kitchen. While using proper safety measures, our chefs carefully integrate each ingredient to create a well-balanced, and well-timed dish.

On this particular day, we offered up a hearty vegetable primavera for the vegetarians, or a sizzling beef fajita bowl with colorful grilled peppers & onions, beans, rice pico de gallo, sour cream, and fresh corn tortillas on the side. Both entrees were served with a crisp Caesar salad and fresh fruit.

THE UPDATES: PRESENTATION AND SERVICE

Safety remains our first priority, so all chefs and servers wore masks and gloves during preparation and service. Yet, we also wanted to uphold our excellence in food presentation. While each meal was carefully and individually packaged to prevent any direct person-to-person contact, we made some eco-friendly packaging improvements to show off the delicious cuisine that we crafted for each employee.

For example, the salad and entrée were in their own bio-degradable bowls, with clear lids to see the cuisine. Similarly, the fresh fruit was in a clear container, so the employees knew what type of fruits they were getting! The entire meal was carefully displayed in an open-faced biodegradable box, instead of being closed off. Furthermore, the box made it easier for each individual to pick up their lunch.

The company minimized the number of employees that they brought into their break room at any given time during lunch. As a result, we wanted to respect that by minimizing the amount of Summit team members that entered their building too. We allocated a small team to drop off the dishes. However, the service remained “touch free”.

Despite some rain on this day, we can already see the rainbow. We are so excited to continue to deliver fresh cuisine over the next five weeks with them!

OVERALL:

We are creating an upscale cafeteria meal program for corporations such as the one highlighted today, to make life back in the office a little easier. While the companies and employees are super grateful… so are we!

We are very proud of how our working relationship has developed with our Serve Safe partners. The pandemic has brought us closer together through clear communication and creativity. Although we might not have the same types of businesses, by working together, we are growing together.
