Pristine beaches and perfect weather make Orange County beaches highly desired for weddings in Southern California. Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point is one of those special places. Not only can couples enjoy a barefoot wedding on the sand, they can enjoy a reception on a grassy landing adjacent to the sand. Our event producer Pam Aki has a long-standing relationship with the event team, Orange County Beach Weddings, that manages this picturesque location. We're always surprised at how each client infuses their own personal style into their weddings, and Jared and Erica did exactly that. We loved their choices of colorful flowers, a station to kick off your shoes, including their beloved pup in their special day, and of course their menu.Pam worked closely with our couple to create an inspired menu that allowed them to share their favorite dishes with their guests, that focused on Latin Flair. With so many people going Vegan, it was important to them to include some Vegan dishes. The guests were pleasantly surprised that not only were several dishes Vegan, they were delicious. Even the wedding cake was vegan! Their menu included:Appetizers included Seafood Ceviche on Plantain Chip; Hearts of Palm Ceviche on Plantain, Mini Mango and Avocado Tostadas, Vegan Quesadilas with Roasted Vegatables and Black Beans with Avocado Tomatillo Dip; Toas Tortilla with Julienne Vegetables, Avocado and Red Pepper Coulis; Watermelon, Mango, Cucumber, and Jicama Platter with Chile Lime Salt (Yum!)Salad: Tropical Summer Salad with Gourmet Greens, Romaine, Mango, Papaya, Mandarin Orange Segments, Strawberries, sun-dried Cranberries, and Toasted Almonds, with choice of Blueberry vinaigrette or Chipotle Agave vinaigrette; Mexican Chopped Salad with Romaine, Red Bell Pepper, Red Onion, Jicama, Zucchini, Tomatoes, Corn, Black Beans, and Cilantro, with Orange Cumin vinaigrette.Entrees: Summer Vegetarian Tacos with Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Red Onion, Grilled Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Red Pepper and Mushrooms, served with Corn and Flour Tortillas, Avocado Tomatillo Sauce, Pico De Gallo, and Salsa Quemada; Blackened Fish Tacos with Pineapple Cucumber Slaw, with Vegan Avocado Creme; Vegan Enchiladas filled with diced Red Potatoes, Zucchini, Sauteed Spinach, Kale and Green Peas, drizzled with Avocado Cream; Mexican Brown Rice; Elotes Shots; Grilled Corn.To beat the heat guests enjoyed our famous Melon Agua Fresca. To pull of a wedding this beautiful, it takes a "village" of amazing professionals.
